If arriving by car, the best connection to the island is from the ferry port at Stinica on the mainland to the Mišnjak ferry port on the island; the line operates all year round and the crossing takes 15 minutes. The Lopar - Valbiska line is becoming increasingly popular, as it connects the island of Krk (Valbiska) with the northern part of the island of Rab (Lopar). The crossing takes about 1 hour 20 minutes. You can also reach the island by passenger catamaran, which connects the island with Rijeka and the island of Pag (Novalja). The catamaran from Rijeka reaches Rab in less than 2 hours and then continues to the island of Pag. The catamaran trip is pleasant, comfortable and affordable.

Regular bus lines run from Rijeka, Zagreb and Varaždin. The number of departures depends on the season, so please check the current timetable on the bus company's website.

The nearest airport is located on the neighbouring island of Krk. Several international routes connect it with various European cities. Flight times and connections with other cities can be found on the Rijeka Airport website.
